We offer repair and minor restoration services for automobile clocks from the 1920's through the 1960's. Since clock designs have changed over time, repair services are based on the age and era of the clock. Our repairs will get your clock up and running again with service including cleaning (ultra-sonic)and lubrication (French Mobius oil) of the movement and cleaning/repair of the points. On some clocks we can add a condenser/diode combination to protect the points and extend point life. This optional upgrade is available on most clocks (typically about $50).
Most inoperative automobile clocks can be repaired unless they have suffered physical damage or been damaged internally by someone who didn't quite know what they were doing. If major replacement parts are required I will usually try to find a donor clock that we can use for parts. Or, if a donor is not available we may even be able to fabricate replacement parts.
(1) Standard repair includes minor parts as needed
(2) Cosmetic restoration is separately available
